ELT Evaluator QCAvionix ELT Evaluator takes the guesswork out of testing ELTs. Assure your customers that the device their life may depend on works as they and you expect. Measure radiated energy, operating frequency and power output. The field strength function makes short work of finding a bad antenna, cable or connector. A built-in detector and speaker allow you to hear the ELT chirp and the power meter accurately measures the RF output power to assure that the ELT is putting out at least the required 50 mW. The built-in frequency meter accurately measures the output frequency when you are testing the field strength or measuring the output power. Sign off an annual with confidence knowing that a critical life saving device is ready to do the job. As an added bonus, the Evaluator can measure the Field Strength, Frequency and Power Output of Handheld and panel mounted Com Radios. The ELT Evaluator includes a calibrated antenna, BNC cables, charger and an AM radio with FAA test specification for meeting the FAA test requirements for ELTs. Ni-Cad batteries deliver hours of operation and the included charger can be left connected without damaging the batteries.
